German artist pop.ac (formerly: ART COLLART, born: Markus Diehl)
invented art with stickers in 1987

Modern industrial society is a gigantic trash-producing machine: Day by day causing our
planet to be swallowed up by avalanches of material - every product, as soon as it has
become useless, turns into garbage. Trash in this way becomes a metaphor for our very
existence. pop.ac looks behind our glittering world, pleading for more careful usage of
things. Most of the stickers used by pop.ac long from this trash the garbage mountain of
Überflußgesellschaft.

pop.ac takes stickers out of the trash.

Pop-Temple Hamburg with 2.000.000 recycled stickers.
